On August 27, 2025, Get Covered South Dakota will begin operating with a significantly smaller team due to a 90% reduction in federal funding. These cuts will reduce our internal staff and the number of subrecipient partners we can support. While this is a major shift in capacity, it is also an opportunity to work more closely with community partners like you to ensure South Dakotans still get the help they need.
What’s not changing? Our commitment to South Dakota communities. While our capacity will look different, our mission remains the same: to help individuals navigate their health insurance options and get covered. We need your help to continue making that possible.
Here is how you can continue to support Get Covered SD and your clients:
-
Share our printed materials, like business cards, tear-off sheets, or flyers. Need more? Just reach out, we’re happy to provide them.
-
Encourage clients to visit GetCoveredSouthDakota.org, where they can get connected with a Navigator via telephone, the contact form, or schedule a virtual (and free) Zoom appointment.
The primary contact going forward for the Navigator program will be Brittany Zephier at bzephier@communityhealthcare.net. Please feel free to reach out to her with questions or coordination needs—or if you have any questions before these changes go into effect.
Thank you again for your continued partnership and commitment to connecting South Dakotans with the coverage they need. |
